An oven that does not heat may have an issue with programme settings, the clock lock, power supply, heating elements, thermostat, sensor or control board.
Symptoms that describe the fault
- The light and fan work but there is no heat
- Only the top or bottom heats
- Temperature differs from the setting
- The circuit breaker trips
- An error code or lock symbol appears
Safe user checks
When the oven is cool:
- Recheck the programme and temperature setting.
- Confirm that clock/timer settings are not preventing heating.
- Observe the socket and circuit-breaker status.
- Check that the door closes completely.
- Record the error code.
Situations requiring service inspection
If there is no heat, only one section heats, the breaker trips or there is a burning smell, the elements and electrical circuit require testing.
Safety note
Do not interfere with panels or heating-element connections because of high-voltage and high-temperature risks.
