Checks the user can perform safely

Without opening the casing or interfering with gas/electrical connections, you can:

  • Record the error code shown on the display.
  • Compare system pressure with the range in the user manual.
  • Confirm that radiator valves and thermostat settings are open.
  • Check for visible water or unusual odours around the unit.

When should professional service be called?
